MUSINGS 9 PEARLS OF WISDOM

AWESOME DESIGN

Hatching of Eggs.  Duration varies in multiple of 7:

a)           Canary  14 Day
b)            Barnyard Hen 21 Days;

c)            Ducks and Geese 28 Days;

d)           Mallard  35 Days;

e)            Parrot and Ostrich 42 Days.

Incredible Symmetry

1)             Each watermelon has an even number of stripes on the rind.

2)           Each orange has an even number of segments.

3)          Each ear of corn has an even number of rows.

4)           Each stalk of wheat has an even number of grains.

5)           Every bunch of bananas has on its lowest row an even number of bananas, and each row decreases by one, so that one row has an even number and the next row an odd number.

6)           Waves hit shoreline @ twenty-six per minute in all kinds of weather.

7)           All grains are found in even numbers on the stalks.

CONDITIONING

 An eagle's nest rested on a large mountain side. It contained  four large eagle eggs. During earthquake one egg to roll down to a chicken farm in the valley below.  An old hen volunteered to nurture and hatch the egg.

One day the egg hatched and a beautiful eagle was born. Sadly, however the eagle was raised to be a chicken. Soon the eagle believed he was nothing more than a chicken. The eagle did what the other chicken did. It scratched in the dirt for seeds. It clucked and crackled. It never flew more than a few feet because that is what the other chickens did. The eagle loved his home and family but his spirit cried out for more.

While playing game on the farm one day he looked up to the sky and noticed an eagle soaring gracefully and majestically. He asked the chickens: "what is that beautiful bird?' the chickens replied, "That is an eagle. He is an outstanding bird, but you cannot fly like him because you are just a chicken." So the eagle, believing that to be true, lived and died like a chicken. Thus not attaining full potential in life due to lack of vision.

Tragic! He was born to win but conditioned to lose. The same is true of most people. To quote Oliver Wendall Holmes—'We don't achieve excellence because of our own lack of vision.' One need not allow negative people to drag one down.

Truism—a person's character is not only judged by the company he keeps but also by the company he avoids.

QUESTION-ANSWER SESSION BETWEEN  RAMAKRISHNA PARAMHANS (GURU)
AND
SWAMI VIVEKANANDA (SHISHYA)

1.       Shishya           I can’t find free time. Life has become hectic.
Guru                Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you free.

2.      Shishya           Why has life become complicated now?
Guru                Stop analyzing life.. It makes it complicated. Just live it.

3.      Shishya           Why are we then constantly unhappy?
Guru                Worrying has become your habit. That’s why you are not happy.

4.      Shishya           Why do good people always suffer?
Guru                  Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don’t suffer.
With that experience their life becomes better, not bitter.

5.      Shishya           You mean to say such experience is useful?
6.      Guru                Yes. In every term, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first                                     and the lessons.

7.      Shishya           Because of so many problems, we don’t know where we are heading…
Guru                If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside.                          Eyes provide sight. Heart provides the way.

8.      Shishya           Does failure hurt more than moving in the right direction?
Guru                Success is a measure as decided by others.
                        Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you.

9.      Shishya           In tough times, how do you stay motivated?
Guru                Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to                                     go.  Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.

10.   Shishya           What surprises you about people?
Guru                When they suffer they ask, “why me?” When they prosper, they never ask                                     “Why me?”

11.    Shishya           How can I get the best out of life?
Guru                Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence.                                        Prepare for the future without fear.

12.    Shishya           One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.
Guru                There are no unanswered prayers. Keep the faith and drop the fear.

Life is a mystery to solve, not a problem to resolve.
Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live.
